She looks gorgeous doing it but, Cecilia Tallis would like to remind you that smoking really is bad for you. Don't try this at home, children. (Adults can do as they wish.)
Sorry, but I've got whatever the opposite of a smoking fetish is. Seeing a woman smoke is a huge turnoff for me, whether it's in a movie or in real life. Do I think it should be banned in movies? No. Does it affect my enjoyment of a movie? Yes.
chip i wouldn't call it a fetish, i don't specifically find it less or more attractive but smoke and fog does lend to beautiful shots. incidentally as someone allergic to smoke, i feel no annoyance towards seeing someone smoke, on screen or in person.
(this is a cecilia tallis specific, post, though, so it's not much about the smoking.)

As a lifelong non-smoker I say that smoking in the movies is a right.
I bet you literally dream Atonement at night.

Smoking always looks sooo cool in movies, but as I did smoke briefly in college, I know well enough it stinks!
I believe there's a direct correlation with smoking and Blitz related drownings.
Certainly it seems to increase risk.
