Sooner or Later...

Have you heard the great news? Warren Beatty has decided he's going to do a Dick Tracy sequel? I'm so excited about this, Dick Tracy is my "super-hero" movie and who better to encapsulate a super-hero better than Mr. Beatty? Gah! Remember how good he and Madonna were together? Remember how brilliant Al Pacino's performance was? (via)

Am I the only one excited?

This will be interesting...It will need some great promotional angle to appeal to the fickle, Marvel-3D crowd... Will Madonna reappear?

Gee that would be a HUGE gap in between films. I actually found the original quite enjoyable, but I think it's been too long.

I'm pretty excited... but - don't hate me - I've never actually seen the film! I'm excited to have an excuse to watch it though. If it's any consolation, I did have a colorforms playset of Dick Tracy back in the day - Madonna, Beatty, prune face, and all! :)

now I'm in the mood to see it again, don't remember it that well.

when you say "to do", you mean to direct - I hope. Isn't he too... OLD to play this? at least if they find him like a son or something, to take away from the spotlight and make it justifiably commercial.

walter well, i'm glad you're on board whether or not it's for beatty.

tom i doubt, since her character died in the original. but i wouldn't mind an indiscriminate cameo. i hope sondheim composes again.

colleen well, i guess we'll see. i always wish beatty would make more films, and more often.

luke see it! most people hate madonna in it. but then, they hate her in evita where she's perfect. so, i don't know. i love her.

alex truthfully, i hadn't thought of that. warren is such an original actor, i'd be wary of someone else filling his shoes - but he IS old now. hmm, maybe i should send out casting calls...
