A Walk in the Grass

So it's been solved, my banner is from Howards End...a movie that I adore. Every time I watch I see something new, and it's only now I realised how much Ivory uses nature to bring out his characters. Howards End features one of the most beauteous openings I can recall as Ms. Redgrave saunters through the grass looking resplendent as ever. Isn't she lovely?

What shots do you recall from Howards End?

I've never seen it either but I did just see Remains of the Day which was pretty good too.

one of the most boring films I ever saw.

but I was a kid when I saw it at the time.

Should I watch it again?

The story had a lot of problems and it was a little slow. Loved Thompson's performance! Apart from that, not that much. Redgrave's nomination is weird to me.

hee. i love it, obviously. maybe from an ostensible point redgrave's nod is a head-scratcher, but it's well deserved (though bonham carter should have been there too).
